3 flats in upscale areas burgled in Ghaziabad as owners go out
Ghaziabad: Three burglaries were reported from different flats in Ghaziabad , the police said on Monday. Two flats, belonging to a joint secretary of Apartment Owners Association (AOA) and a private college professor, were burgled in a residential society in Sihani Gate area on Sunday night. The flats, located in separate towers, are on the fourth and fifth floors of Gulmohar Enclave , As Reported By TOI.
According to the Newspaper,Another similar incident was reported from Gandhi Nagar.According to the complainants, the burglaries took place when the owners had gone out.Sunita Bhatia, joint secretary of the AOA, claimed that the burglars escaped with Rs 80,000 in cash and jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh. Bhatia, along with her husband and son had gone to Jaisalmer on January 22.On return to her flat on Monday morning, she found the locks on the main door of the flat broken, and entire house ransacked.Bhatia said that the miscreants closed the front door of the house in a manner that the lock did not look broken. It is rather shocking for me as I am a member of the societys management committee.
